Oleg Dmitrievich Protsenko was born on the 27th of October, 1932; in 1956 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of I.I. Mechnikov Odessa State University., then there was postgraduate study at the department of Economic planning of G.V. Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy (MINH), in 1963 he defended his thesis on "Economic-mathematical analysis of the extended interindustry balance model," in 1973 ‒ a doctoral thesis on "Interindustry balance and planning of economic relations ", in 1968 he was awarded the title of associate professor, in 1971 ‒ the academic title of senior researcher, in 1978 ‒ the academic title of professor.
In 1956‒1960 he worked at the Institute of Water Transport Engineers in Novosibirsk (Department of Mathematics); 1960‒1963 ‒ post-graduate MINH named after G.V. Plekhanov; 1963‒1965 ‒ senior researcher at the Research Institute of the USSR Central Statistical Administration; 1965‒1966 ‒ Head of the Laboratory CENII Gosplan of the RSFSR; 1966‒1980 ‒ Head of Department, Deputy Director of NIIMS under the State Planning Committee of the USSR; since1980 ‒ Professor, Vice-Rector of the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation.
He is the author of more than 200 publications, a number of articles and reports published were published in German and English; member of the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Academy of Economic Sciences and Business, International Academy of Management. Honorary Doctor of the University of Barcelona, a member of the Extended board of the MBA program universities in Magdeburg and Bielefeld; He is a member of Educational-methodical association "Logistics".
Currently Oleg Dmitrievich Protsenko ‒ Vice President of the Academy of National Economy (ANE) under the Government of the Russian Federation, Doctor of economics, professor, Director of the faculty "Institute of Management and Marketing." He is a member of the Academic Council RANHiGS and delivers lectures in logistics and macroeconomics.
