City logistics, being an element of sustainable urban development, determines and minimizes the negative environmental impact of logistics. The purpose of this article is to analyze the car sharing system. The article analyses the chronology of the car sharing development in Russia, its advantages and disadvantages, carsharing companies in Moscow. It concludes that the car sharing system helps to improve the transport and environment in megacities, thereby solving the problems of sustainable urban development.
