Annotation. High-quality transport infrastructure is one of the key elements of the modern economy. Currently, the development of transport infrastructure is of particular importance in the context of globalization of transport processes. This article discusses the concept of «dry port», the prospects for the development of such facilities in different countries. In addition the problem of lack of common terminology is mentioned.
