The complex development of container transportation, the rapid growth of which requires solving the issues of accelerating the delivery of cargo units to the final recipient and their terminal processing, is one of the main trends in the transport market over the past few years. Well-thought-out technological and organizational solutions are needed, the tool of which can definitely be a Side loader of containers. The article examines the history of the development of the technology of loading and unloading operations with containers, its advantages and practical significance.
