Specific features of the logistic methods application in the field of rail transport

Annotation. In domestic conditions, an unsatisfactory organizational and economic mechanism for the freight transportation functioning hinders the formation of a network-wide logistic model of the railway complex, creates operational interference with the movement of passenger trains through the congestion of deficit railway roads with surplus rolling stock. The article discusses the organization of socially-oriented logistics, which is positioned as an interdisciplinary area of research, including methodological approaches of transport logistics, marketing, service study, and social psychology.
