Dear readers! In September the CeMAT RUSSIA exhibition was held, which showed everyone that innovations and robotics are increasingly penetrating the logistics industry. We can safely say that many technologies are tested here, and only then they go out into the world. However, it is not only CeMAT RUSSIA that demonstrates the prevalence of the digital agenda.
Dear readers! This is the ninth issue of the journal, which turned out to be very rich and diverse. Traditionally, the issue is opened by an analyst. The material by Alina Nasyrova from the Market Guide Agency, dedicated to investments in warehouse complexes in Russia, recalls the importance of developing logistics infrastructure for the integrated development of regions.
Yulia Kislova, the Director of the Market Guide Agency spoke at the First Moscow Business Forum of Tourism Industry - "Lodestar", which was held in the Marriott Grand Hotel on December 12-13, 2016.
At the discussion session 3 of the Forum, dedicated to the tourist image of the capital, Yulia Kislova introduced “The Methodology for Assessing Tourist flows to the Territory of Moscow”. The methodology has been developed by the Market Guide Agency and it allows to define and ground the mechanism for calculation of the tourist flow to the territory of Moscow, and to assess the direct contribution of tourism industry in the GRP. This technique is very important and timely as currently there is no ready statistics which could characterize the volume and structure of tourist flows, and statistical information collected by public statistics bodies is incomplete and characterized by a low level of reliability. The methodology, proposed by Yulia Kislova, suggests a new approach to the assessment of tourist flows, aimed at the constant improvement of the accuracy and detail of the assessment of tourist flow, time of stay and expenditures of tourists, through new methods and data sources including.
The First Moscow Business Forum of Tourism Industry, organized by the Government of Moscow, brought together the leading representatives of the industry to have a professional dialogue about the problems and prospects of development of the hospitality industry.
The Forum was attended by about 450 people, including representatives of hotel and restaurant business, tour operators, public organizations and associations, representatives of executive and legislative power.
