In article problems of assessment of reliability and stability of supply chains of vertically integrated companies are considered. On the example of the entities of ferrous metallurgy logistical risks on the site of a supply chain of "Upstream" are identified: from suppliers of material resources – to production sites. It is shown that these risks determining reliability of a supply chain "on an entrance" are generally connected with procedures of supply and inventory management of operational MRO resources. General approach to diagnostics of a supply chain taking into account logistical risks is considered, and also the key factors and risks connected with growth of inventories of material resources are allocated. On the basis of the analysis a number of actions, the eliminiruyushchikh negative consequences of risks is offered.
