Factors creating the demand for tourist trips with recreational purposes

Annotation. Implementation of new large-scale projects of statistical monitoring in recreation and tourist spheres opens up new possibilities to analyze the needs and demand of the population. The paper is based on the data from sociological surveys conducted in European countries in the period of 2006–2016. The article reveals the factors affecting the development of demand for recreational trips and the evolution of travel needs with tourist purposes.
