Annotation. The prospects of using the concept and technology of data transmission networks and the physical Internet in logistics are shown. The possibilities of using reference network models of data transmission and processing for logistics business processes of the physical Internet, in particular the OSI, TCP/IP, OLI and NOLI models, are considered. The levels of reference network models are analyzed and their adaptation to the coordination of logistics operations in multi-layered supply chains is proposed. Examples of the use of OLI/NOLI models in the logistics of intermodal container transportation are given.
