Theoretical and methodological synthesis of the categories «value» and «flow»: from the ontology of material movement to supply chain engineering (in the order of discussion)

Annotation. The article presents an in – depth analysis of the evolution of the fundamental categories of logistics – «value» and «flow». The authors carry out an interdisciplinary synthesis. The work reveals the three-stage nature of the material flow and substantiates its dualism as a carrier of physical substance and economic value. The author deduces the concept of «value potential» and economic efficiency of the material flow. A system of metrics based on resource profitability and logistics capital management is proposed and substantiated.
